Proverbs 3:23 NIV

“Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble.”

The Map App on my phone almost always gives me two or three options to get to my desired location. It shows the quickest based on traffic issues, speed limits and possibly other factors I have no idea about. It’s convenient. If I’m not in a hurry I sometimes pick the more scenic route. With this in mind many people mistakenly believe the same is true spiritually. Oprah has famously said there are many ways to God. It’s all different paths up the same mountain. That is not true. There are only two ways through life and only one ends up in eternity with God. Jesus called Himself the only way to God. Solomon is letting us know now that when we live and walk in intimate relationship with God we will not find ourselves stumbling into sin with Satan. There is a lot of danger in the world today. When I see a promise of God offering safety I will certainly pursue it. Again, Satan has three goals, to kill, steal and destroy. That sounds like as unsafe a path as I can imagine. There are two clear paths. Today choose the one offering peace, life and safety. #BeTheEdge

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.” Jesus
