“I give you sound learning, so do not forsake my teaching.”

People have been known to squander lots of things. Money is an obvious one. Influence can be wasted on those who don’t care. Resources are a constant source of discussion about squandering things. Todays verse tells us not to squander, forsake or walk away from, God’s teaching. His wisdom is not just valuable it is invaluable. We cannot even begin to afford the price of God’s teachings. Yet somehow we seem comfortable ignoring the things we find hard or at the very least uncomfortable. God use to share His wisdom with a few specific spokespeople. Prophets, teachers, rabbis and kings we some of His most often used tools to communicate His knowledge to us. Read that again, the God of the universe freely shares His wisdom with our mortal, undisciplined selves. What a gift. I have squandered a tank of gas just joy riding as a teenage. I’ve wasted hours in front of the TV. I’ve looked back and realized I’ve squandered relationships by not investing the time and energy they deserved. Of all those I know I’ve missed out on the great gift of wisdom from the eternal at times. Usually it was through, laziness, lack of self discipline or even willful sin. Today seize all God has for you and hang onto it with both hands and all your heart. #BeTheEdge

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” James‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭NIV‬‬
