Proverbs 4:2 NIV

“I give you sound learning, so do not forsake my teaching.” Proverbs 4:2 NIV

“Never ignore someone who cares for you because someday you’ll realize you’ve lost a diamond while you were busy collecting stones.”  (Unknown) It can be very easy to ignore or walk away from the advice of those God has placed in our journey to help us pursue Him and His agenda. We trade the tested and trusted for the expedient and cheap. God has filled a book, a collection of 66 of them actually, with the greatest teachings on the planet. You can find great quotes by Confucius or The Buddha, even very wise ones by Winston Churchill or Gandhi. However, one of my favorite quotes is from Martin Luther King, Jr. The reason is, that as a reverend, he tended to quote Scripture very often. The teaching Solomon refers to here comes directly from the mouth of God. The world is full of bad counsel masquerading as wisdom. We all see the wreckage caused by bad counsel played out in way too many lives. The world is also full of some good and even great counsel. However, the only source of flawless counsel is from God. Today, set your sights on His words and align your journey accordingly. #BeTheEdge
