“The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.”
What will God allow you to lose to gain His Wisdom and understanding. You see sometimes we pay a cost we did not willing turn loose of. We have to give up more than we chose to. When my friend was diagnosed with Cancer they discovered a depth of understanding about God that they never knew existed. By their confession they believe they would have lived the remainder with a much shallower understanding of the person and character of God. They would have approached life with a more casual grasp on the true value and gift of every breath. The pain they would have never chosen carved off parts of them that revealed Christlike elements of themselves that may have never been known. The grace and humility with which they approached every day reflected the person of Jesus in their story previously unseen. At one point my friend stated, “I can’t believe some people would miss out on this intimacy with God because they are afraid of the pain”. However, if she had been given the choice to enter the journey willingly she promptly declared, “absolutely not.” Gods wisdom and understanding will outlive the cost. Today don’t miss what He’s offering in the journey no matter the cost. #BeTheEdge
