Proverbs 5:21 NIV

“For your ways are in full view of the Lord, and he examines all your paths.”

God is good. Solomon starts everything with that basic truth. He truly wants good for all. Then enters sin. Things went awry at that moment. God’s desire for good is disrupted by the influence of sin. God sees everything on everyone’s journey. Nothing is hidden from Him. God makes everyone’s path level. “He smoothes the way for him, and removes stumblingblocks from before him. As Jesus reminded us, He makes the sun to shine, and pours out His rain, on both the righteous and the unrighteous” (Ironsides) One day earth will be restored to its original flawless, sinless perfection. In the meantime…we’ll you know. Division, brokenness, suffering, deception all of these and so much more entered all of our journeys as a result of the fall. Now let’s not put all the blame on Adam and Eve. They certainly get the responsibility placed squarely on their shoulders by history. However, I am fully aware that if no one had sinned before July 8th 1958 the perpetrator would have arrived. If no one sinned before I was born I would certainly have been the one who broke the planet. Easy now, I know you would have too. You see God knew sin was coming and He prepared our paths anyway. That’s the Good News. He knew but He went ahead with creation anyway. At the first breath of man God knew it would eventually cost His Son’s life. Today recognize His watchful eye and thank Him for guiding your path. #BeTheEdge
