Proverbs 6:14 NIV

“who plots evil with deceit in his heart— he always stirs up conflict.”

This is part of Solomons description of a troublemaker and a villain. Needless to say we certainly don’t want to be either of those. However, like me, you probably know or have known one or two of them. I added ‘have known’ because if you are wise you carved those people out of your journey. Solomon also recognizes the source of this evil persons motivations, their heart. Jesus also focused on a persons heart when He identified the source of sin and evil. A persons heart is seen as the center of their emotions and motives. Behavior, whether good or bad, are mostly driven by the developed core of a person. And at that center of that reality is who we are. Our heart belongs to either God or satan. That sounds harsh, however if our heart is not in God’s hands, filled with His spirit, then it is dead to Him and owned by the father of death, satan. There is no shared ownership of one’s heart, soul or life. It belongs to God or satan. Just because the lost do not recognize satan does not mean he doesn’t recognize and control them. Today serve God and reflect His heart in your story. #BeTheEdge
