“Now then, my sons, listen to me; pay attention to what I say.”
An article I recently read said this about listening to and then following instructions, “A disregarded instruction…can lead to a loss of efficiency, compromise the quality of your services, customer experience, and even have safety and hazard-related consequences. The ability to follow instructions is a skill and can be developed and proactively managed within your organization. (Rand Msgazine on-line Aug 1, 2019) In this chapter Solomon is urging us the same way James will about 750 years later. James encourages us to not only be hearers of Gods truth but also to be doers of those truths. Here us a challenge for all of us today. I’m assuming most who read this recently went to a church service, Bible study, read a devotion or a Christian book. Think of one truth you learned or at least heard or read and consider how to put it in practice in your story today. The key to growth and impact in your spiritual life begins with a step of obedience. As we hear and obey the lessons deepen and the influence grows. Today be a doer and not just a hearer of God’s truth and watch the growth explode in your life. #BeTheEdge
