Proverbs 8:1 NIV

“Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice?”

Recently I heard someone say, “It is so hard to tell right from wrong these days. There is so much more gray where there use to be black and white.” Not to be disagreeable but I must disagree. I guess that would literally be the definition of disagreeable. As Solomon asks in this verse and then answers in the following verses, Wisdom, God’s voice, calls out loudly and clearly from everywhere. I tease my grandkids when they are small. I will tell the little girls they are cute little fellas and they instantly tell me they aren’t a boy. I will suggest something like having a piece of candy as our secret and they quickly let me know that it can be our secret but they still have to ask their mom or dad if they can have it. When we allow the world to define right and wrong in a way that comes into conflict with God’s truth we surly face confusion. Just because the world rejects God’s standard of right and wrong does not make the issue in question a “gray” area. It just means we have a decision to make, an eternal decision to make, follow God or follow man. Perhaps those who see a less clear line of right and wrong have allowed God’s standards to slip in their life. Today take the example of the 3 year old, let God’s Truth firmly guide your journey. #BeTheEdge
