Proverbs 8:2 NIV

“At the highest point along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand;”

So this is interesting. The Earth is an oblate spheroid, which is a result of the rotation of the Earth. Basically, its spin results in a flattening at the poles and a bulging at its equatorial. Because of that interesting bit of science Mt Everest is actually not the highest point on the planet. It is actually 2 miles lower in relation to the center of Earth than Mt. Chimborazo in the Andes mountain range. Thankfully we don’t need to travel to either to hear from God’s wisdom. Solomon is making the point that wisdom is not hidden but God has put it in plain view and within the reach of everyone . To not see or find Gid’s wisdom is not possible with out an intentional act of the will. In others words we must willfully ignore His wisdom to miss it. There are plenty of people who do that and it is pretty silly to watch. It reminds me of my 3 year old grandson pretending not to see something right in front of him by closing his eyes. Even he ends up giggling at the realization of how silly he is being. Unlike him many adults in the world today ignore the very obvious wisdom offered by God and fight adamantly to prove they know better. They look ridiculous. Today accept God’s wisdom with gratitude. #BeTheEdge
