Wisdom, Jesus, didn’t just watch His Father create the world, He participated. We are told else where in scripture that everything that was created was created by Jesus. I love pondering not only the power but also the creativity of the act of creation. In her song “Redeemer” Nicole C Mullins wrote,
“Who taught the sun where to stand in the morning?
And who told the ocean, you can only come this far?
And who showed the moon where to hide ’til evening?
Whose words alone can catch a falling star?
Well, I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
All of creation tesifies
This life within me cries
I know my Redeemer lives”
This was the song my wife and I began and ended every day with during her cancer battle for 2 years until she closed her eyes and looked in the creators face. It was a powerful journey and focusing on Who was behind life and creation brought us strength, comfort, power and, ultimately, victory. Paul tells us that everyone, though they may deny it, knows who He is through the witness of His creation. Today take a look outside and worship the one who created and sustains it all. #BeTheEdge
