Proverbs 8:6 NIV

“Listen, for I have trustworthy things to say; I open my lips to speak what is right.”

Solomon uses a word that we translate as excellent that in the Hebrew might be better translated “princely or noble” things. Want to change someone’s life? Speak God’s powerful, positive truth into their life regularly and consistently. The world today is busy speaking negative and confusing messages. You don’t have to look far to hear messages that either imply or directly state that you are not good enough, there is something wrong with you because of where you were born, the race or gender you were born, how you look, or other things from a never ending list of shortcomings designed to minimize your value. In this verse and throughout scripture we are encouraged to speak noble things, those things which should be said to princes. In reality we are children of The King of Kings. You are a prince. It doesn’t matter where you were born, if your ears are slightly larger than what is considered the norm or how much money your family did or didn’t have. You are a Kings kid. This is not just to encourage you, it is a fact. This world is committed to beating that reality out of your mind and spirit. Don’t let it. Also don’t let it do it to your family, friends and others you cross paths with. Speaking truth and life goes like this, “You are a supernatural creation of The eternal God, creator of this universe and you have incalculable worth and value because of that.” Today speak to other as to royalty because they are. #BeTheEdge
