Satan tries n every way to imitate Jesus. He masquerades as an angel of light. He offers things he is not able to provide like joy and happiness through empty sin. One thing he definitely cannot give is life. He is the owner of death. When Jesus rose from the tomb in that first Easter Sunday He made it clear that life, temporal and eternal, was His and His Fathers alone to give and restore. In this verse Solomon shows us Satan’s offer to those with no sense things he can never provide. He knows he can’t but he is also described as the father of lies. Jesus by contrast again is not only known as a truth teller, He is described as The Truth. A beautiful reality for today is that although Satan invites the simple and those with no sense to join with him they have a better way in that Jesus saves the simple and those with no sense too. He saves everyone who recognizes Him as the resurrected savior and Lord. He wants everyone to receive His grace and love. Today rejoice in the original and stay far from the counterfeit. #BeTheEdge
