Proverbs 9:4 NIV

“Let all who are simple come to my house!” To those who have no sense she says,”

In this chapter, Solomon uses the illustration of two women. One represents wisdom, or God, and the other represents the way of the world, Satan. He shows both with the same target in mind: those who are prone to miss out on God’s offerings through a relationship with Him. Solomon speaks to the enticements of sin offered by the evil woman in this chapter. The simple can represent all of us at some point in our journey when, rather than looking at who is behind what we find in our path, we simply step toward what is easy. Thankfully, the wise woman pursues us. But as always, it’s a choice. God gives us the freedom to decide for ourselves. Sometimes I wish He wouldn’t. I wish He would just make us do it the right way. But He loves us too much. And as much as it grieves Him at times to watch us go the way of the foolish woman, He will not intervene because, at that point, we become robots and not children. Maturity is learning to listen to the wise voice, always. Today, walk in the wisdom of God. #BeTheEdge
