Proverbs 9:9 NASB

“Give instruction to a wise man and he will be still wiser, teach a righteous man and he will increase his learning.” Proverbs 9:9 NASB

In Matthew, Jesus said that there were some people trusted with more and deeper insights into Him and His Father’s kingdom than others. It might seem a bit unfair, but I suspect it had to do, at least to some degree, with how the initial revealed truth was handled. The wise person takes God’s gifts of insight and puts it into practice. The unwise squanders it and only incorporates what is easy, convenient and not particularly challenging into their story. Those who are living righteously will benefit from God’s deep truths. The old principle is that we all walk in the light we are given. I also think that at times the light we are given is dependent on what we do with the previous amount given. All this is to say that the rich get richer (not financially) while the poor stay poor. Our life should be a lesson in growth. A few days ago, I mentioned that God doesn’t want any of us to leave this year the way we came into it. As His followers we should shine, at the very least, a bit brighter tomorrow then we do today and that should occur every day until we are present with Him. Today, take what you have been given, walk it faithfully out in your journey and watch Him multiply it. #BeTheEdge
