“they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.”
I met with the leaders of a great company yesterday. Their company reflects the Biblical Worldview for business leaders as well as any of the hundreds of companies we deal with. In our conversation they mentioned how they have always dealt truthfully with their clients. They said lies and schemes are very difficult to keep track of and will always be found out eventually. They just aren’t worth it. They are booming as a company. When people realize they are trustworthy they want to do business with them. Over the years I have watched a number of businesses eventually close their doors. These were companies who became known, over time, as people who would tell you almost anything to get your business. Once they had you, the floor seemed to shift and what they said changed. They became known as dishonest schemers. I’ve dealt with a few. You probably have too. I didn’t go back to them. God has a very clear principle, you reap what you sow. This goes beyond business. It is true about personal relationships. Marriages end, children go astray, friends disappear and even churches suffer all because of insincere schemers who put their wants above others. Ultimately it’s a recipe for sadness and destruction. Today let your yes be yes and your no be no. #BeTheEdge
