“But he who listens to me shall live securely and will be at ease from the dread of evil.” Proverbs 1:33 NASB
Initially, The Edge Daily app did not exist – I sent out the daily devotion by text. For many years, at the beginning of each month I would invite those who received this brief morning devotion from Proverbs to look through their contacts and invite others to join them in the journey through the wisdom of Solomon. During that time, I heard some great stories of conversations begun by that simple invitation. Some even led to significant life changes. I would often be asked to add friends to my daily texting list. And then friends of friends. And friends of friends of friends. I got a bit overwhelmed. Now we have the app, and my texting has been greatly reduced while those receiving the daily devo has been greatly expanded. However, I have not encouraged people to share this Proverbs devotion for a while. I believe now is the time to invite our friends, employees, and others into that place of security and “ease from the dread of evil,” as today’s proverb says. With that in mind, and with an understanding that God wants to lead all of us to a place of peace and safety through His Truth, I encourage you to invite others in your world to join you on our journey through Proverbs. You can begin your own text groups, or invite them to join you by downloading The Edge Daily app. There is also a place in the app to “share” that day’s Proverb, to make it easy for you to share. Today, look for those who need a good word to start the day, and share. #BeTheEdge
