Proverbs 13:6 NIV

“Righteousness guards the person of integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner.”

Over the years I’ve seen men and women of integrity attacked. Not physically but by people determined to hurt them by damaging their reputation. It is painful to watch but extremely painful to go through. When they try to defend themselves it comes off as trying to cover up their guilt. The better version of this experience is what Solomon describes in this verse. A person who walks in righteousness, God’s way, finds their reputation guarded by Him. Integrity is the safe guard to their reputation. Integrity is living by the internal guidance of the Holy Spirit. Living God’s life, God’s way. As we walk righteously for Him He protects our story. Those who live lives of selfishness, wickedness and dishonesty find that their story catches up to them. Though they may find a degree of financial success, even to the point of others wanting to be in a business relationship with them, they will eventually be destroyed. Perhaps in this life, definitely in the next. Today live with integrity and leave your reputation in God’s hands. #BeTheEdge

“Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.” 1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬
