“Light in a messenger’s eyes brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.”
I want this person showing up at my door or my desk. Many of us have had the other messenger show up. The one who gives you news you never wanted or expected. “We are going in a different direction and your position has been eliminated. Something showed up in your X-ray or test. There has been an accident. They were arrested.” This kind of news goes on and on. In a fallen world things and people will fall and break. When my granddaughter looks at me with bright, sparkling eyes I don’t even need to hear her speak to know good news is coming and my heart is already smiling before I hear it. In the same way tears or sadness in her eyes breaks my heart even before she speaks. It is a great illustration of how God sees our joy or pain before we even speak. He is already moved to compassion, as a loving Father, through our emotional journey as well. There is no greater news than the Gospel, which incidentally means ‘Good News’. That is not an accident. God brings, through Jesus, good news and as His children we are to be an echo of the same. Today reflect and, when given the opportunity, speak the Good News. #BeTheEdge
“Go into the world. Go everywhere and announce the Message of God’s good news to one and all.” Jesus
