Proverbs 16:10 NIV

“The lips of a king speak as an oracle, and his mouth does not betray justice.”

Most, if not all of us, have never experienced life under a kings rule. We can struggle at times to relate to the full context of what scripture is telling us when it uses the life of those under a kings rule to communicate an eternal truth. In reality God is the ultimate king and His people (believers) are citizens of His kingdom. We don’t vote, we don’t run for office if we choose to and we don’t get a say in the policies of His kingdom. What we get is the privilege of calling Him both King and Father. Yep, life was truly different for the child of the King. Usually. As the prince or princess we are heirs. We are treated justly by our Father and all the power and authority to do that is fully His. In this verse Solomon is reflecting back on his younger days and his desire to be a righteous judge and king to His people. We do not need to imagine that. We have that King now. We need to acknowledge Him, serve Him, receive His love, strength and power…not a bad way to live. Balance this with our Brother and savior who lived the life of a servant, freed to set us free and risen to redeem our today and our eternity. Today live the redeemed life of The Kings heir and serve His kingdom. #BeTheEdge

“Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” Romans‬ ‭8:17‬ ‭NIV‬‬
