“teaching you to be honest and to speak the truth, so that you bring back truthful reports to those you serve?”
In this verse one of the points Solomon is making can also be found throughout the New Testament. The wisdom we are given is not to be hidden away, it is to be shared freely with others. We are to look for those interested in learning. We are to share it with our children. We are to pass it along to those who also hunger and thirst for righteousness. For centuries scripture was most often shared orally. Today with all the printed and technological ways to communicate and share we are pretty much without excuse if we don’t share the wisdom and insights the Holy Spirit gives us. Not aggressively but where there is an interest. It is helpful to ponder exactly how do we pass along what God reveals. I have a friend who passes this simple daily devotion from proverbs along to 25 employees and friends. He then encourages them to each share it with 25 other people. That is but one simple example of sharing wisdom God offers. The point isn’t how great these messages are but how easily with a little creativity we can all share those glimpses of wisdom God blessed us with from multiple sources. Today multiply God’s gifts to you. #BeTheEdge
