My encouragement from today’s verse is to be this person. Be the bearer of good news whenever, wherever and to whoever possible. I love both giving and receiving good news. Who doesn’t? You did great, you won, you handled that perfectly, the cancer is gone are just a few examples of the good news that at various times have refresh this weary soul while in the battle. Even when we don’t have a particular event or situation to speak about there is always something we can encourage someone with. I love you, you’re the best, you have such a great heart are a few examples of good news and kind words that not only bless a person but can literally change their lives. As followers of Christ we are uniquely positioned to bring the ultimate Good News to everyone we encounter. Yes, life is hard. Certainly there is an awful lot of bad news flying around these days. Of course bad circumstances and bad news are inevitable in our fallen world. However, with the entirety of scripture filled with promises of blessing, power and a future made by the author and creator of life we have lots to speak positively into the darkness. Words of encouragement and positive reinforcement are always available. Today make it your intention to share as many as you can. #BeTheEdge
