Proverbs 2:6 NIV

By February 2, 2021No Comments

“Then you will discern righteousness and justice And equity and every good course.” Proverbs 2:9 NASB

There are a lot of people screaming about ‘justice’ these days. There also seems to be considerable confusion about who is ‘righteous’ in our current world. There is no such confusion in God’s Word. The problems come when we look elsewhere for the definition and understanding of those critical attributes. At best we get distorted and at worst we get intentionally false views of the words. God is aware that we need His safety to protect us from false definitions of His most powerful truths. Look at what has been done to the word ‘love’ by the world. God uses love to describe His heart for us in the act of sacrificing His Son’s life to redeem us. He uses the word to describe how we should treat one another. The world has worked to destroy the true meaning of the word by reducing it into a sex act or our feelings about a great pizza. Before you accept anyone’s representation of what is meant by justice, mercy, righteousness, truth, and love, be sure you understand God’s teaching on these powerful concepts. Then, recognize that learning them from a book, even God’s Book, is only valuable when you practice them. #BeTheEdge
