“Then you will understand what is right and just and fair—every good path.”
If you don’t want this you are seriously broken. Not to offend but what normal human, created in the image of God, could possibly not desire a clear understanding of “what is right and just and fair”. Also knowing every good path seems like a much less stressful way to travel this planet than not knowing the good paths. Unbelievably, there are actually those who not only don’t care about the good paths they actually actively pursue the bad paths. These same people live in a cloud of broken and blind confusion that leads them to not care about right, just and fair. As hard as it is to believe, satan has so blinded the many lost in this world that they actually call good – bad and evil – just. Prior to this verse we see that God not only gives wisdom and understanding but also success and is a shield and protector to those who listen to Him. The choice is clear. The outcome not only predictable but intentionally pursued. As we were informed in other verses we choose either God or Satan. There is no safe middle choice. To choose not to choose is a choice.
