“She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.”
Before she passed away my wife Jennifer was the epitome of this verse. The truth of it goes well beyond just the virtuous woman. Here we see a doer not just a talker. But the key about Jen was that she was a doer of good. Lots of people stay active and busy doing things but like the Proverbs 31 women her good always blessed someone. This is the model for all of us. Our activities should bless. Whether customers, family, employees, neighbors or strangers they should experience blessing, good. Of course Solomon is describing a specific kind of women but their is no liberties taken in saying this truth extends beyond just wives or women. This is a powerful life reminder for all followers of Christ. At our funeral we should be remembered not only for our love for God but for how that love was seen in what we did to bring good into the lives we encountered. Today as we enter a new year consider how you can recommit to being God’s tool for good and kindness. #BeTheEdge
