When we look at God, I mean really look at Him, the person scripture reveals, The Creator of all creation is put on display. Then when we put ourselves in that picture it is easy to feel pretty insignificant, maybe even worthless. At that point we have close to an accurate picture of how things really are. Apart from the value God places on us by being our Creator and then paying the price He did to purchase us back we are insignificant. But, the value we receive because of Him is incalculable. If someone has pride in themselves it is obviously foolish. Solomon lets us know that one could look more foolish than acting as though they are something important apart from God. We certainly see a lot of people who do that though. Sports and entertainment figures speak and act as though they are really something without any acknowledgment of who God is. Politicians, almost embarrassingly, carry on as though apart from God they truly control their little kingdoms. Want to see God act? Watch His humble followers. Want to see Him move? Watch the innocent and His children being oppressed. Today walk humbly and let God be God. #BeTheEdge
