“Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart;”
It’s almost as if God is saying, ‘If you missed yesterdays here it is again’. This theme is in numerous places throughout scripture. Keep your mind on God and His truth. Let it constantly permeate every thought and action of your story. He is aware that the world is full of things that will distract us from the eternal perspective we are to live with. It is not just sin and temptation taking our mind off of the Kingdom priorities of God. Good things that are not God’s things can at times be more dangerous to discern without the presence of His wisdom, truth and calling constantly before us. Satan loves to see us settle for being “goodly” rather than “Godly”. I’m not sure goodly is a word but I’m sure you get it. Good is nice and can even be helpful but it does not change the world. God changes the world through Godly followers. When we sin or do evil we know it and as His followers we respond to God’s truth set before us. We are convicted by the Holy Spirit. Being good feels fine but may miss his perfect mark. Today don’t settle for good pursue Him. #BeTheEdge
