Proverbs 7:16 NIV

“I have covered my bed with colored linens from Egypt.”

“As part of a scheme to seduce a careless young man from the first part of this chapter the predatory woman begins to describe her bedroom in alluring terms. Though what she describes is luxurious and attractive, it presents nothing but death and ruin for those who fall for the trap.” Sin is seductive. We have all succumbed to its draw. That’s why Good Friday is so powerful. Because all of us, at one time or another, get fooled by the attractiveness of sin, it’s promise is for something it is entirely incapable of delivering: joy, peace and contentment, Good Friday was a must. Without it sin wins. We die. Our separation from our loving Father is eternal. Because of Good Friday this seductress will ultimately lose. Sin was defeated on Good Friday. It’s price was paid. Two days later we see God’s confirmation of that, His stamp of approval. Today live like an immeasurable price has been paid for your life. #BeTheEdge

“In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” Hebrews 9:22 NIV
