“before he made the world or its fields or any of the dust of the earth.”
God’s Wisdom has always been. I know that statement seems like a very obvious fact, however, we don’t always live as though we know it’s true do we? Sometimes we live as though we believe that as the world changes, as technology and other advancements take place, God‘s wisdom has to catch up. That is certainly not the case. I’m always intrigued by some of the descriptions John gives us in revelation that theologians understand as technology that didn’t exist in the day of his visions, and therefore, he had to find ways to describe them by things he understood. Not so with God. Nothing exists today that he was not aware was coming. He does not have to rework his strategy for his kingdom based on what’s society discovers or unforeseen events. There is scripture that describes him as the same yesterday, today and forever. There’s great comfort in this. We know that no matter what the world comes up with or throw at us, God is prepared. Therefore, he has prepared all that we will need to deal with it. “Knowing the future, even the future of human decisions, is part of what it means to be God.” (Desiring God) Today let’s operate with the knowledge that God has all we need for whatever we face today or tomorrow.#BeTheEdge
