“All the words of my mouth are just; none of them is crooked or perverse.”
Is there a single person or resource about which this same claim can be made? Without forcing you to do a lot of research, I can tell you that apart from the Trinity and their written Word, the answer is an unequivocal no. Nothing on this side of heaven, no matter how well-intentioned, can make this claim. Yet—and this is the confounding “yet”—only a tiny portion of the planet spends time with the source of this honest, pure truth. We have abundant access to His Word, yet we spend so little time with it. I dare say the amount of time invested in social media, news, and meaningless entertainment dwarfs our investment in this only source of clear, clean, straight truth. I’m certainly guilty. Only 11% of Americans read their Bible daily. That’s a good start. Increasing the number of people and the amount of time spent would change our country, but more importantly, it would change their lives. Fifty-six percent of Americans express a desire to read the Bible more, which is good news as well. Today, dive into the source of truth and life. #BeTheEdge
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 NIV
