Proverbs 9:3 NIV

“She has sent out her servants, and she calls from the highest point of the city,”

In the same way that Solomon talks about servants going out and calling people to respond to God and his wisdom He has done it today through us. Like in Solomon’s story the response of the people is not our responsibility. It has often been said that it is not failure for someone to say no to an honest, clear, kind invitation to God’s offer. It is only a failure if they don’t have the opportunity to say yes or no. And that is why we are sent out. We are to live lives visible to a lost and seeking world. We are not to hide away and only associate with like minded people. We are told that God placed us in this world to be salt and light. To live in such a way that our lives announce who’s we are. When people see us our behavior and gracious speech should make it clear that there is something very good and very positive about our story. Ultimately it should point them toward the God we serve. Today there is a lot of darkness in the world, maybe in some ways more than ever before. Steve Brown tells us that the darker the darkness the less light it takes to overcome it. Today live as an announcement to the world that their is a better way and He is inviting them to join Him. #BeTheEdge

“…let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Jesus
